We’ve been pondering the idea of a play set for awhile now and after some research and lots of searching, we took the plunge! Our neighborhood has a great playground but it stays pretty crowded and with having a little one on the way and expecting to continue to spending plenty of time at home, we decided we wanted to get our own thing. Plus, Pfeiffer loved the idea of having her very own swing.

I wanted multiple swings, a slide, and a climbing wall and this checked those boxes and more (playhouse section, shaded area, monkey bar). We didn’t want anything super cheap that lacked quality but also didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg. Overstock was running an incredible deal and we pulled the trigger! You can find the one we bought here. It’s called the Somerset by Backyard Discovery but unfortunately without the Overstock deal, it’s pricier so keep your eyes peeled for coupons or a markdown! But that being said, we LOVE it!

Check out the process below as well as Pfeiffer’s reaction to the finished product. We used paper instructions as well as an interactive app called BILT, which was super neat. It took us a longggggg time, like 10 hours with a handful of adults, (thank goodness we had plenty of help) but we got it done!

Very happy with our purchase and, of course, so is P! Seeing her excitement makes my heart overflow with happiness! Now if the temps can stay moderate and the pollen will go away, it’ll be wonderful in our backyard 😀 Happy Spring!
