Can you believe it's the end of March already? I can't! Here are my lasts...
The Best Money We’ve Spent Lately…
We’ve been pondering the idea of a play set for awhile now and after some research and lots of searching, we took the plunge! Our neighborhood has a great playground but it stays pretty crowded and with having a little one on the way and expecting to continue to spending plenty of time at home, we decided we wanted to get our own thing. Plus, Pfeiffer loved the idea of having her very own swing.
Baby Number Two: Second Trimester Part Two
Finishing up my second trimester and happy to almost be close to a home stretch (okay, I know I still have a ways to go but just saying third trimester sounds like a win). Baby is the size of a water bottle or a large bottle of Sriracha sauce.
Call Me a Tree…
Happy Valentine’s Day! Hope you take the day to love on yourself and those closest to you. Instead of doing a traditional post of date ideas or self-care tips or gift ideas, I thought I’d share my love jams playlist with you.
Saturday Scenes
Happy weekend! Hope you are enjoying it thus far. Here’s a little behind the scenes/day in the life post. Usually on Saturdays Pfeiffer has Spanish lessons at a local park and Jeff golfs but today we were expecting rain so we called the lessons off. Not surprising for my family, they chanced the weather and hoped it wouldn’t pour on them and headed for the golf course. My dad and his wife are in town and my husband and brother love golfing so I’m sure they’ll enjoy their time together. Pfeiffer and I are holding down the fort.
Baby Number Two: First Trimester and Second Trimester Part One
First trimester + second trimester (through week 22) happenings: I briefly touched on my first trimester in my year-end recap post here but I'll sum it up for you here as well in word word: rough.
2020: Lost a lot but we gained more
2020, it's been a strange year. Ups and downs. Toilet paper and meat shortages (which, PSA, you can survive off zero meat, folks, but zero TP, I don't want to try). We've evaluated our lives and then reevaluated them. Tried to figure out what the eff is happening. Who we are and what was going on. It truly was a year unlike any other I've seen (and hopefully ever see again).
Last-Minute Gift Ideas (that don’t involve leaving your house)
Listen, I know some of y'all haven't finished your Christmas shopping. Ron (that's my brother), I'm talking to you. But, that's okay, your secrets are safe with me. Here are some super last-minute Christmas gift ideas you can peruse and purchase immediately without having to leave your home. Best part is that there's something for every price point. Most of them can be tailored to what you specifically want to spend. Here goes!
I Wrote A Kid’s Book
While attempting to entertain ourselves and our children on the RV ride back from our trip to the Smokies, we started rhyming about dinosaurs. Albino dinos, at that. When we got home, my sister-in-law and I decided we were going to make a YouTube video for a song for the new genre of ‘Kids Music That Doesn’t Suck’ all about this dinosaur. Well, I quickly took this and decided instead of making a song (I suppose we still could ha) I was going to write a little children’s book.
Wedding Weekend Back Home
One of my best friends (been friends for 2/3 of our lives), Taylor, got married in Pensacola a few weekends ago. With COVID and Hurricane Sally there really were some wrenches thrown in the mix.
