Happy weekend! Hope you are enjoying it thus far. Here’s a little behind the scenes/day in the life post. Usually on Saturdays Pfeiffer has Spanish lessons at a local park and Jeff golfs but today we were expecting rain so we called the lessons off. Not surprising for my family, they chanced the weather and hoped it wouldn’t pour on them and headed for the golf course. My dad and his wife are in town and my husband and brother love golfing so I’m sure they’ll enjoy their time together. Pfeiffer and I are holding down the fort.

Started our morning as we do most mornings by making our Shakeology smoothie and sharing it. She likes to ‘feed the baby’, which just means spoon feeding me food.

Then onto the salon to get my makeover, which that was real life (minus the pain)!

Love turning my calendar to see what the quote and picture for the day are.

Received our new High Five Highlights magazine in the mail and started finding the hidden pictures which is one of her favorite parts of the magazine.

Soon we ate lunch (tofu and carrot sticks- forgot the pic).

Then it’s nap time. Quick nap for me before getting ready for my sweet friend’s virtual baby shower. It’s crazy how for the most party the virtual showers have only begun because of the pandemic. We had this technology before and many of us don’t live by all of our friends or family. Why haven’t we always been doing this?!

For any virtual parties you’ve been to, have you dressed up? I decided a floral maxi was cute yet comfy and better than the workout clothes I’m normally in.

Next to start prepping southwest/taco soup for dinner. I of course veganized it with meatless crumbles and homemade ranch seasoning.

Pfeiffer’s pooped at school Thursday and because she hasn’t always wanted to do that, we’ve been giving her a surprise or letting her watch a movie when she does. She chose the movie option and since it’s been a gloomy day (and to be honest, because I’m exhausted today), we decided to go ahead and watch The Sound of Music. What an interesting time to watch it since Christopher Plummer passed away today. RIP. I have fond memories of watching this movie with my grandma. Such a classic. P enjoyed all the kids singing.

Pretty much none of our days are complete without a dance party. Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance With Somebody being P’s favorite dance tune at the moment.

I was able to sneak out to the gym for a little workout while P hung out with her dad at home.

After a shower and such, my brother, sister-in-law and niece came over for dinner (my dad and Jinny are staying with us) and we had a good meal together. Everyone enjoyed the soup. Now for relaxing!

P stayed in pajamas all day and we didn’t see the sun but all in all it was a fine little Saturday.

What did you do today??
