Hi! I’m linking up again with my cousin Holly at Osborn Extravaganza for our series, Mid-Month Minutia: Little Details of Random Things. This month we’re discussing small details or traditions of Thanksgiving that we love. (Read Holly’s thoughts here.)
Besides the normal wonderful things that make Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, like food, which I do of course love, my small detail I love is family. Cliche, maybe, but true.
It’s just a reason to be together. This is my husband Jeff’s favorite holiday and I understand why. No work, no gifts, no real pressure of anything, just being together (and eating lots of delicious grub). Being with family or friends and sharing a meal and reminiscing on all of our blessings. Remembering all that we are thankful for and on the top of that list are the ones we love.
So yes, as corny as it may be, my detail I love the most about Thanksgiving is family. And I guess they are more than a small detail, they are what make the Thanksgiving holiday so special and important. What about you? What is your favorite detail or tradition of the Thanksgiving holiday?
