2017 Recap

First of all, for those who have noticed, let me give my apologies for being so M.I.A. lately. I’ve been putting more focus into the Pat Pierce blog and the general busyness of life has gotten in the way of my writing.

So hi, let me reintroduce myself, I’m Erika (hi, Erika), here today to share the latest happenings with me and my life. For a quick catch up, I figured I’d copy Holly over at Osborn Extravaganza (she has so many good blog ideas) and do a year recap.

Here are some (we all know I’m not always been the best at remembering to take photos but I’m getting better) of my favorite moments, pictures, and quotes from 2017 captured by my iPhone (some I’ve included captions and others I felt were self-explanatory):

January – March

April – June

July – September

October – December 29th

It’s been quite the year. Quit my 8-5, started my business, traveled, got more consumed with politics than I ever have been (not sure yet if this is a good or bad thing), wrote my first pet obituary, experienced weddings, births, deaths, psychic readings, joy, sorrow, happiness and struggle. It’s been full of family and games and great music and bad football and mixed emotions and challenges of next steps and not knowing what the future holds. Feelings of being on top of the world and feelings of being a complete failure. I will go into 2018 continuing to try to make my business a success (and giving back to causes I believe in while doing so), spending as much time as I can with loved ones, praying for peace with where I’m at figuratively and literally and with hope and optimism for the future. I don’t do well without a plan or knowing what will come next but I do love the fresh start a new year holds and all the possibilities it brings with it. I pray that I will have faith that God is working to provide me with my best life (even one I haven’t even imagined) and that I will continue to trust Him to guide me and give me wisdom. I hope to be a better wife, friend, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, citizen of the world and follower of Christ than I ever have been before. I pray 2018 will bring a better, happier year for our country and our world, full of more peace and light than we saw in 2017.

What were some of your favorite memories from 2017? Wishing you the happiest New Year’s Eve and start to 2018!
