Months ago an author friend of mine, Mallory Rowe, inspired me to write a haiku and after not writing one since probably middle school gifted English class, I finally did it.
Seeing the Christmas lights through the eyes of my baby boy inspired me to write.
Goodnight pretty lights
Her sweet boy rests his head down
Their twinkling remains
I have to say, it was a fun challenge to write in this 5-7-5 syllable format and something I may continue to do for fun.
